A promised gift of drawings and pastels from Elizabeth “Betty” and Jean-Marie Eveillard to our partner institution, The Frick Collection.

Caillebotte, Degas, Delacroix, Fragonard, Goya, Sargent, Vigée Le Brun, and Watteau are among the artists represented in a promised gift of drawings and pastels from Elizabeth “Betty” and Jean-Marie Eveillard to our partner institution, The Frick Collection.

The gift consists of twenty-six works—eighteen drawings, five pastels, two prints, and one oil sketch. They range from preparatory figurative sketches and independent studies to portraits and landscape scenes. In the fall of 2022, at the Frick Madison location, the museum will present an exhibition of these extraordinary works, to be accompanied by a catalogue and public programs.
