Call for Submissions: Articles on Modern and Contemporary Drawings
Master Drawings is seeking submissions of articles on modern and contemporary drawings.
Essays published on 20th and 21st century drawings are among our journal’s most downloaded articles, thousands of times per year. These include interviews with artists such as George Condo, Wayne Thiebaud, David Hockney, Glenn Brown, and Giuseppe Penone; and new scholarship on artists such as Robert Ryman, Marsden Hartley, Eva Hesse, Simone Forti, Alberto Giacometti and Robert Rauschenberg, and beyond.
We have a swift review process and a quick turnaround time for publishing successful submissions (often less than one year’s time). On average, the length of an article ranges from 2500 to 8000 words, with five to twenty illustrations. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.
